Do you ever look at the multiple floss options at the store and get a bit overwhelmed and confused? If so, our Bin Park, DDS team is here to help you! Each product has different characteristics that can help you in different ways, and we’re happy to tell you what those are:
· Wide floss: Wide floss is a great tool for those who have bridgework. This product is also known as dental tape, and it can also benefit those who have wider-than-average gaps between their teeth.
· Waxed floss: Waxed floss is a beneficial option for those who have teeth that are extremely close together. This product slides smoothly between the teeth and effectively cleans the area.
· Unwaxed floss: Unwaxed floss will inform you on the cleanliness of your teeth. When all of the plaque is removed between the crevice, the floss will squeak against the teeth.
· Bonded, unwaxed floss: Bonded, unwaxed floss is a product that stays strong and does not fray as easily as regular unwaxed floss. However, it does tend to tear more than waxed floss.
